Blueberry & Acai Smoothie

Serves 2, 5 minutes

1 cup frozen banana, chopped

½ cup blueberries

1 pkt frozen Acai puree

1 orange, segmented

¾ cup coconut water

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed until smooth.

Health benefits of Blueberries:

One of the richest sources of anthocyanins.

Anthocyanins are a type of phytochemical that give the red blue and purple pigment to berries (amongst other fruits and veg).

It has many health benefits including being antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.

Therefore it plays an important role in the cardiovascular system as it can help to reduce the oxidation of LDL cholesterol (AKA your bad cholesterol)
